Interest Groups

Below is the current list of interest groups. For more information contact our Groups Co-ordinator Sue Lavery  Email:  u3apershoreGroupC@gmail.com
Pershore and District U3A regret that as many groups meet in members' houses wheelchair access cannot be guaranteed to a group for members with mobility problems. If you need wheelchair access to a particular group please contact the group leader to see if this will be possible.
Also when a group organises a trip involving a coach and/or group discounts then the full cost must be paid in advance when booking a place and is NON REFUNDABLE.
(This policy has been implemented to avoid the group losing money on the trip and having to be bailed out by U3A central funds)
More information on a particular group can be found by clicking on the relevant subject below. Click here for a timetable of groups.
There are a few groups which would particularly welcome new members at the moment. These are:
Bridge, Family History, Gardening Know How, Knit and Natter 2, MahJong,  Singing for Pleasure (Men!), Spanish Intermediate (Monday)

The U3A Trust has a selection of videos, DVDs, Slides and other material for use by interest groups. A list can be found on the download page as the U3A Resource List.

The Committee have also decided to start a “Wish List” for prospective groups – areas where people have expressed an interest but we don’t yet have a group for it.

Currently the following activities are on it:

Art Appreciation, Canasta, Chess, Croquet, Dog Walking, Egyptology, Holidays,  Horses + other animals,  Italian for beginners,  Quilting Embroidery & Patchwork.

If you have an idea for a group but are not sure if anyone else would be interested, put your idea and contact details on the Wish List and anyone who may be interested can add their name to the activity. We can then put interested parties in contact with each other.

The Wish List will be available at monthly meetings, on the downloads page of the website, or contact any committee member if you have any ideas or want to see what others have suggested.
